About SuperPlane
One-shot 30% of engineering tasks.
SuperPlane lets AI agents fully automate routine development work. Free your team to focus on what’s important.
Routine work should run itself.
Engineering teams lose time to more than writing code. A focused issue still has to move through planning, implementation, checks, review and the inevitable round of feedback when something fails.
Coding agents can handle much of that work. But today, engineers still have to decide which tickets are safe to delegate, provide the right context, watch each step, repair failed checks and judge whether the result is actually ready for review. Without a system around them, agents become another project to manage.
SuperPlane exists to remove that coordination burden.
We are building SuperPlane so agents can take high-confidence routine tasks all the way from the backlog to a verified, review-ready pull request.
It starts by finding the right work. SuperPlane scans the codebase and backlog, ranks issues by automation confidence and identifies focused tasks with the context and tests an agent needs. Ambiguous work stays with the people best equipped to make the call.
Once a task starts, the workflow, not the individual agent, owns the rules. Plan, build, check and review follow deterministic steps with explicit scope, required checks, approval points and escalation paths. The same standards apply no matter which agent does the work or who assigns it.
When a check fails, SuperPlane captures the failure, gives the agent actionable feedback and verifies the next attempt. When a task truly needs judgment, it pauses and brings an engineer in with the full context intact.
This is not about replacing the coding agents, source control, CI, or review tools teams already trust. SuperPlane coordinates them in one visible system with durable state, consistent policy and a clear path from issue to reviewed work.
Because SuperPlane is open source under Apache 2.0, teams can choose their models, run in the cloud or on-prem and adapt it to their own stack, standards and cost constraints.
Our goal is simple: fully automate the routine development work that drains engineering attention, while keeping the work that needs human judgment firmly in human hands.
Routine work should run itself. Engineers should be free to focus on what is important.
The team
Darko Fabijan (CEO) and Marko Anastasov (CPO) first met at university in 2003. Since then, they have been building side by side, turning hard engineering problems into products that teams depend on every day.
SuperPlane is the continuation of more than two decades of shared conviction, technical judgment and firsthand experience operating at scale.
Before SuperPlane, they built and scaled Semaphore, one of the early pioneers in continuous integration and testing. Semaphore helped drive the adoption of container-based infrastructure and grew into a platform processing millions of jobs for engineering organizations such as Intuit, Toyota Connected, Confluent, Replit and Superhuman.
That experience shaped their view of what modern infrastructure requires. They have seen what happens when systems grow, when workflows become critical and when engineering teams need both speed and safety at the same time.
SuperPlane is built from that experience. It carries forward the same focus on reliability, control and operational depth, now applied to helping AI agents one-shot routine engineering work without lowering the standards teams rely on.
